4 D GSP’s road trip continuing 2026…

It’s a New Year and New Plans

2026 we are going to leave our little South West Corner hide out in mid April and head to Lake Carlyle IL, with en route longer stops @ Moab and @ State Parks in Colorado and Kansas.

1st of June taking a ferry from Bar Harbor MI to Nova Scotia.

13th of June taking a ferry to from Sidney, NS to Newfoundland

Have beautiful summer months to explore Newfoundland

We will be back in Nova Scotia beginning of September and then cruise East Coast slowly towards south… Ian has A-Catamaran Worlds in Tampa Bay in November.

Newfoundland is just little smaller than California in size. Everything from icebergs, fjords to thousand of lakes. So much to explore!!!!

How we did 2025

We traveled 8 months straight with our 24ft class C Motor home. The first 5 months we had Ian’s A-Class catamaran and our old Yukon truck. We drove separately as Ian drove the Van/ towed the boat while I drove the truck and had the kids with me. It worked great as this way we had a car to move around when camped out.

In August Ian drove the truck and the boat from Maine to SoCal and raced the Nationals. He also left the rig to San Diego afterwards and flew back, so now we were down to only having the van, which was good learning period for rest of the trip.

With us we also had our “kids” Kaya who is 13 year old GSP/lab mix and Rhona who is 4 year old GSP.

2026 Plan

We are going with the same plan… we love the RV and we think it’s good size to do Newfoundland with. I will be also driving the Yukon with the kids this year. We will leave the A-Cat to Maine for the summer while we go to the Islands and also adding a Canoe and Windsurfer into the inventory this year.

Where in 2025

We traveled through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, East Washington State, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Minnesota,Wisconsin, Michigan, South Canada ( Sault Ste. Marie to Montreal), Vermont, Maine, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Is. New Brunswick, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas (yes its HUGE!!), New Mexico and back to Arizona and SoCal

So much to see more in everyone of those States!!!!

2026 Plan

We are starting again.. from SoCal and going through the middle this time. Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York State, Massachusetts,

Pretty much beelining it to Maine and then pumping on the breaks.
