Bay of Fundy, Canada

With tidal range of 53 ft (16 meters), it’s pretty special place

It’s been busy September since we left Maine and headed up to Canada. Nova Scotia for little over 2 weeks, PEI for a week and then 4 days in Cannontown campground in Fundy Provincial Park.

Tourists have mainly gone home in September and we have had great time in empty campgrounds and roads.

Weather has been amazing.. full sunshine and warm. Just perfect summer weather all along. We have had rain showers during few nights but weather changes here a lot faster than in the mainland and in the morning it’s bright sunshine again. I did get a raincoat in Maine just incase for the autumn but the tags are still on!! ha ha

We started to get few windy nights in PEI and it seems to be that wind is the first sign of autumn around these areas as long as we know.. rain has not arrived yet and it’s 1st of October. Locals around North East in general are complaining about the TOO dry summer and it’s been warmer than previous summers.

We stopped on our way to Fundy at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park. These rocks are on “dry land” when the tide is down… would have loved to kayak around them on hight tide but .. no time this time.

Here are the typical two kinds of photos that seem to happen.. ha ha… kids are ether “really an other photo pose!!!!” or “no one is looking …incoming Rhona!!!”

onwards…

We got into some serious hiking mode with Rhona.. got her backpack on with her rescue sling and water + snacks and we disappeared into these amazing trails no one around.

Normal… how to take a photo of a black dog??

Yes.. Kaya got to hike as well! Here she is chilling in a stream!

Autumn is starting to show it’s colors, it’s still over 70F but nights are getting little cooler.

This campground in Fundy had a big golf course on it as well. Apparently they 6 Provincial Parks in North East of Canada with golf courses on them. When you plan to visit .. again do plan/book way in advanced during the summer months.

Ian rode hundreds of miles around the coast and bike trails… we had great time and will miss this place.

for the leaf peepers!!!
